All of us at FMYC are deeply saddened to share with you the news that Sarah Jane Cook passed away on Friday 23rd February 2018.

During this time, our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Many of you will have come across Sarah Jane in the Clubhouse but mostly in her role as "Officer Of The Day" for the Fox’s Two Rivers and EOS Trophy events run by the club.

Some of you may be aware that one of our former members, Joan Williamson, left a bequest to the club in her will. Part of this was spent on a trophy for the annual 'EOS' race, named after her boat. The balance was unspent so the committee decided to purchase a flagpole, a club flag together with a commerative plaque.

The flagpole is now up and the flag will be flying regularly from the top.

The flagpole has also been adapted to make putting the bunting up outside the clubhouse far easier.

On Saturday 17th June a group of 20 or so members, friends and family visited the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Harwich. On returning to the clubhouse, there was a free members BBQ, which also included an impromptu musical contribution from Simon, Mike and Bruce.

NEW CLUB BURGEES ARE NOW AVAILABLE !!

A sample burgee is on the members board in the clubhouse

These are a far better quality than the previous ones and are £17.50 each.
